Surprised there is no talk of the in-service exam since it's less than 24 hours away. In years past it has dominated the EM forum just prior and immediately after the exam.
Any other unlucky souls out there that have to work the night after the exam?
I'm a little nervous and not expecting to do very well. The upper levels at my program have told my intern class not to worry too much because we need to improve on our score each year.
I don't have to work that night, but I'm on trauma ICU this month so I'll be back to work right after the exam and at 7am the next day.
I was shocked when I took the qualifying exam this year at how little similarity there was in the question format, and the expected knowledge. IMO, the inservice examination has far more relevant questions and better-written questions. The qualifying exam tended to be more like: "I am thinking of a number between 1 and 100, what is it?"
That being said, my performance on the qualifying exam was pretty close to my inservice score.
I hope to rock out with my block out so I don't have to listen to my PD keep saying idiocies like, "After a 12 hour shift you should sit down with tintanelli and read a chapter or two"
