Has anyone read about these new changes. Do I understand it right that after 2020, board certification will be solely based on Case reviews and no additional examinations?

These and other changes are in Fall Newsletter of 2018

Wow, according to that--seems legit. I guess they beef up the CBPS portion of the Qualification exams. I think this is a step in the right direction. The case reviews are enough to worry about anyways once you're out in practice. Logging those cases and making sure your notes/X-rays are up to their standards can be pretty stressful. Anyways, it's embarrassing that so many of our colleagues (who are excellent podiatrists/surgeons) fail the mostly poorly written Certification exams. It's about time they got rid of 'em.
