About DAT Studying Schedule

Hello guys!
I am going to write DAT this upcoming fall.
Due to my other obligations I am able to study from July.
I have a full time summer research job which lasts from 9am-3pm. (Mon to Fri)
I shadow dentist (GP) on every Saturdays from 9am to 3pm.
Right now, I am deciding which schedule fits better for me.

I saw many different schedules but the one in this forum (which are pinned) and the ones from DAT Bootcamp (Ari's Schedule) seemed good.

Does anyone have a suggestion which one to follow?

Any schedule that you can stick to over a period long enough that goes over all the material, gives you ample time for practicing and identifying your mistakes and correcting and learning from them, and to take practice tests.

I have only linited amount of time to study for it so I was a bit worried.
Also, I am applying next summer so I was not sure whether to write it this summer or next May.

Have you taken all the prereqs? I wouldn't try taking it without having taken orgo 2, but thats just me.

I took orgo 2 last semester.

I took orgo 2 last semester.

Then do it this summer, IMO. Better to do it while orgo is fresh in your head - you will not need to study orgo as much and be able to devote your time to other subjects.

BTW I am Canadian student and I heard that American DAT happens every week or something.
Does the spot fills quickly? (or should I book it right now?)

I can't answer that. I scheduled mine months in advance. Had no problems doing it. Had a panic freakout moment and rescheduled it to 1 month later. Still, had no problems.
