if i remember correctly, the grades that will be counted towards the AMCAS will be from freshman to junior or 1st to 3rd years worth, correct?

also, how much more weight does the BCPM have over the overall GPA, say in the case of a double major in the sciences and humanities?

If you apply during your senior year, then you are correct. However college level courses taken before freshman year may also count, and some schools may ask for an update of your first semester senior grades.

BCPM is more important than overall, I think.

Summer as well as Fall semester grades.

Does anyone know if your particular major GPA (like if you are bio major then the GPA from bio classes) count a lot ? I guess it should be the equiv of your overall GPA since you will have a lot of classes in that particular area. Just wondering. Also forgive my ignorance but what is BCPM and how does MedSchool break down our GPA?

bcpm = your gpa in all biology, chemistry, physics and math courses

so let me see if i understand this.

i am planning to take the mcats the spring of my 3rd year (planning to graduate in 4 years)... so my GPA from freshman to junior year, would count. so 12 quarters of grades would be reported to the AMCAS?

All college level grades you've recieved at the time of filing AMCAS (usually June at the end of your third year) are reported.
