Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you knows if anthropology is considered a science when it comes to sending LOR. Thanks!

Although it's a social science, they would never count it as a "science recommendation" just as they would not include it in your BCPM GPA. It's probably okay, but if you are unsure you should call the schools.

anthro is not science.
when they mean science they mean classes in your BCPM (bio chem phys math) and even at some schools they wont accept Math as a science LOR.

Definitely not OK to send a science letter from an Anthro teacher. They want a letter from someone who knows your ability to handle medical school type courses.

Thank you all for the info! Today I made arrangements to have my chemistry and biology professors write letters for me (hopefully they won't take very long to write them.....). Thanks!
