Hello guys,

You all have been a great help all the way to my getting accepted at NOVA for their Pharm D program for International students. I still am trying to get answers to some of my questions, which I could have called NOVA and asked them, but thought of getting all of your suggestions too...

so the first question is : How does a student, graduating from their pharm D course for international students, get his licensure? the same way as traditional students? just wanted to make sure they dont have different procedures to let these students work as a pharmacist...

the second question is : What is a contract student at NOVA's pharmacy school?

and lastly : Which is a better/cheaper option...living in dorms or off campus?

Thank you guys 🙂

I dont have answers for your questions, but wanna ask you something.
I have Bachelors of pharmacy from a foreign country and I am considering Nova for PharmD. Can you tell me whats the creteria for acceptance there?
Also, they need human anatomy and physiology for 2 sem, but I have for one sem. Do I need to take it agian?

Hey Jessica77,
in my opinion, the criteria for acceptance to NOVA's international pharm D is almost the same as other traditional pharmacy programs i.e. good GPA(as per your course evaluation report), some extra-curricular activities that you might have got involved in during your Bachelor of pharmacy...basically your involvement in this field, be it a small scale research project at undergraduate level, volunteering or working as a tech here etc...
about human anatomy and physiology class, you have to get your course evaluated by WES or other such service and send those evaluations to NOVA(when you apply)...and if your evaluation report states that you have a degree equivalent to BS in pharmacy, i dont think NOVA would require you to take any classes...
I hope that helps 🙂
