I am planning to submit my application beginning to June and take the DAT on mid June.
I heard that I can check my score right after the test and fill that out on my application.
But I chose several schools when I registered for the DAT.
What is that for?

Thanks. 😕 😕

All schools need an official copy of your scores. The schools you enter when you register for the DAT are the schools that will recieve these reports. The first five schools are included in you DAT registration fee and then it's $5 or $10 for every other school you would like to get your scores. The DAT section of aadsas is really just for reference and does not need to be updated before you submit your application. So if your application is complete except for the DAT, go ahead and submit it to AADSAS. AADSAS doesn't need your scores. In fact I think you can just enter the planned date you will be taking the DAT.

You are correct. When you finish your test you get the "unoffcial" report.

When you reigister for the DAT you choose the schools you would like your offcial report to go to.

When you send out your addsas application you put in your scores, however what you have put down as your scores and what your offcial reports say must be reconciled by the schools you applied to.

When you go in to take the test, they will confirm the schools the scores are to be sent to. You can always add more schools.

if you arent sure what schools you want them sent to, can you just not check any schools in the dat registration section.....then later send scores where you want? 🙂

Yes, u can always request it later, but it might take them 1-2 weeks to process, and then send it out~

AADSAS and the ADA are two separate entities. One handles your overall application and the other just the DAT.

Once you sign up for the DAT exam you have the option to put down 5 schools to which the report will be sent, that is included in the test fee. To send additional reports, since all the schools need an official DAT score, you have to go to the ADA website and pay for each additional report. the new fee is $15/school, up from $10/school last year.

here is the website:

https://www.ada.org/prof/ed/testing/dat/online/index.asp

the score you get at the end of the DAT is unofficial and is only for you.

once you take the DAT you can log on to AADSAS and update your scores. AADSAS will then forward this info to the schools.
