I received invitation for Interview and bench test yesterday. It is o june 13 and 14. I am so scared as it is so short notice. I need to practice for the bench test. I do not know any detail regarding the bench test. It just says crown prep and Amalgum prep. It will be great help to me if anyone can share detail information about the test.😡

How much more info do you need?!
Crown prep, Amalgam prep... That's it.
Know the principles, correct board reductions (gold, ss, pfm and porcelain crown), depth (amalgam) proper names of the walls, beware of adjacent teeth and good luck. =D

Also review RPD survey and design. Stay calm and focused, don't let your nerves get the best of you.

I dont think so you have to use rubber dam.

I know onething for sure they want you to use indirect vision for maxillary pree, that is waht my friend told me when went there for IV.

You can email and ask them all of your doubts. I believe they will answer them.

I might sound little funny but I am not clear if we have to use rubber dam both for Crown Prep and cavity prep in bench test or not ?

Yes, ''Denatl S'' I received an interview invitation for 13th and 14th June . I got invitation after one week of applying and that was in 3rd week of May. I am yet in receipt of all details about bench test and interview day schedule. Hope this helps !

and one more question how many days before the interview everyone gets a call....

Hi journey to dds , please share your interview exp in detail also if you dont mind ur stats?? I was contacted by an adm officer yesterday and i send money. I thought that they will call for interview only in late october since their deadline is in october and surprised by reading that u done with your interview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys, I applied to UMDNJ long time ago, I emailed them to check if they got my CAAPID application and they said once they get my CAAPID application they will send me an email with my needing!!! Should I send them the NBDE, Toefl reports, and the rest of documents before or after they contact me. Their website doesn't say anything about the supplementary application!!!!

They should email you and ask for the $250 fee and rest of the documents. That's the way they work!!

thank you for congratulating us🙂
the interview was really friendly about 7 min, I was asked about my education, experience and what I am doing right now. The bench test was more important than the interview (I was told about it on the interview).
The bench test included: 2 MOD on 3 and 14, one amalgam on on 3 or 14, PFM on 8 and a temporary crown on the same tooth.
It was a great experience! thank you the admission committee for it!🙂

P.S. I was not allowed to take any instruments or materials on the bench test.

Hi Docs,

the mannequins were adjusted to dental chairs. They are looking for your posture! we were told do not forget use mirrors for the upper jaw. Several people told us that the reconstruction is planning. Thus, our brunch was earlier than usual and the second branch will be latter (close to September).
