When did you receive the interview.. I checked right now and I am still under review... I really want to go to USC Dental and don't know what to expect anymore.. Can some people that got interviews give me some advices??? When does the interview's usually come in?

go to predents.com and look at the 2008 stats
You will find people with below 3.4 GPA would usually get interviewed in late March...
Wait for one more month..
If you don't hear from theme..
chances are pretty slim

hey bandz im in the same boat as you i am going nuts. but there is still time, look at previous posts about usc. they said the class is around 1/3 full which means they are obviously goin to do more interviews. i think not only is it gpa like hsia said but also how late you applied to the shcool. i wish you luck stay positive.

I'm in the same boat as you guys....what are your stats? I wonder if we're all similar

I got my interview yesterday. There are at least 4 dates left, 30 people each.

I think they are still interviewing people with high GPAs
I think they have already filled the interview dates until early March..
However, there should be one more cycle.
That cycle should be mostly filled by people with lower stat..
This is the thing...
there are probably 800 people (if not more) with GPA below 3.4 and are waiting for an interview..
I have no idea how they are going to pick out 120~150 ppl from that pool
It varies from individual to individual (ie academic trend, ECs...)

Here are just some facts directly from USC Dental Website

The entering class science GPA is 3.45 and the average overall GPA is 3.40. Both GPAs range from 3.20 to 4.00.

Cross your fingers :xf: and hope for the best

When I went to my interview the admissions committee said multiple times that they choose candidates with lots of extra curriculars and community service. So if you have a lot of those you shouldn't worry about getting an interview... just my opinion tho!
