ABP Reapply?

hey everyone. just hoped there is someone who could shed some light on my situation. i was accepted to a GEM program last year, paid my deposit, and then had to withdrawl my acceptance. abp has told me that this should not affect my application for this year, but i was wondering if anyone out there has had this experience and what their outcome was. maybe current students in abp know of someone this happened to or someone who was not reaccepted...just want to get everyones opinions. i think back in one of the threads someone mentioned he/she got into rcsi one year and didn't go and then didn't get in the next year...but im not sure if he/she accepted the offer or not. etc.

Being your competition, I'd say you shouldn't apply again!

Haha. J/k. I would apply again if I were you. If you got in somewhere odds are they'll take you again or another school will.

Look at it this way, by backing out after you already paid your deposit you made them more money because they will have filled your spot with somebody else so they should be thanking you 😉

The only thing that you may want to consider is where you got accepted. I get the vibe that Limerick & Cork have lower standards than the other schools. So if you only got accepted to one school and it was one of those 2, say Limerick, then maybe you'd have something to think about? But if you got into RCSI I say definitely apply again.

Actually, DEFINITELY apply. What have you got to lose? A few hundred bucks? I'm guessing you're American or Canadian so no matter where you go $300-500 is just a drop in the bucket.

😛 You answered your own question. Doesn't hurt to reapply. You'll either get in or you won't; none of us can give you a yes you definitely will, no you definitely won't. ABP is your best source of info. And there may be extenuating circumstances with some of the things you've been hearing that you don't know about.

Just reapply, stop stressing, and hope for the best.

Stats indicate the Canadian by a long shot if my class is any indication. I'm surrounded by Canucks over here!
