of which their conclusion will be "psychiatrists need more education about the benefits of MOC". maybe they will even hike up the price so we can better "appreciate the value." this is how delusional they are. there is no reasoning.

Fat cats with expense accounts. None of which need to complete MOC.

Lets all let them have it. Fire at will. Unfortunately, the pressure to create MOC is coming from above the ABPN, although I think the ABPN is in some control of how extensive this is. It is also clearly self serving. If I sold baking soda, I would try and convince people to pour it down the drain, and store it in the fridge and throw it away regularly.

You're very correct. And the APA is impotent as they're in collaboration with this monstrosity without any desire to change due to the political climate and capital they are gaining by not saying anything against it.

And you are correct that it is coming from above our CEOs head (who still make 850k/yr being the poster child) - ABMS Leadership Team

Just got this from NBPAS:

If you work in Tennessee: Anti-Maintenance of Certification legislation is on the calendar on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Senate Commerce and at 3:00 p.m. in House Health Subcommittee. This legislation is highly contested and being opposed by both hospitals and insurance companies. TMA is working hard to get this legislation passed, but they need your help!

Call your state legislators and let them know you support the bill SB 298 and HB 413. If you can, please attend and speak at the hearings tomorrow that would be great! Please also pass this message onto your colleagues.

When: Tuesday, April 4th - Senate Commerce at 1:30 pm in LP 1 House Health Subcommittee at 3:00 pm in LP 30. Please contact your representative and senator and let them know you support this bill.
