Do absences and dropped classes go on your transcript? Do they play a significant role in getting accepted into medical school? I decided on taking 3 classes before the semester started, and than a day or two later (still before semester started), I dropped them and chose other ones. Whenever I log into my school website though, the dropped classes appear in my history as "dropped". Now, absences, obviously missing a lot of days is bad, but how about a day or two?

Your grade will show up on the transcript, and that is all that matters. As long as the classes you dropped were truly dropped, and you didn't stay on record as taking the class and receive an F in it, it won't hurt you. Dropping a few days in and taking other classes instead means the ones you dropped won't even show up as Ws on your transcript (at least they shouldn't).
Absences won't show up at all, and if they did, med schools wouldn't care unless they hurt your grade.

I think it depends on your school. I attended Texas Tech for a season and they had a grace period on drops. However, the university I earned my nursing degree at (BSN) did not have the same grace period.
As for missing class, I think half of my physics class showed up when it was exam time and that was it. I think you're good there!!

Thank you for the answers. I'm having a fit of pre-med paranoia; where every small negative thing is perceived as ending any chance I have of getting into medical school
