absite review course

I haven't gotten a couple things in the mail about a two-day absite review course and was wondering if anybody has known anyone to have taken the course and if it was any good. i'm in the lab and would like to rock the absite this year and since i have the time I was wondering if this would be worth my time and money. thanks

Which course is it? There are a few floating around.

Some people I know recently went to some course in Chicago which they thought was alright. Nothing stupendous.

I've known quite a few people whose scores actually went down AFTER the course. That's not scientific, of course, but why not just stick to what residents have done forever? Study ABSITE killer and do questions.

That's what I've done. That's what the majority of people I know have done. And most of us have done alright. Not 90th percentile or anything but nothing to sneeze at.

I think the larger issue is people who feel by attending the course and paying attention for a week, that's all they'll have to do and nothing more. That's just not the way it works. You've gotta study and, course or not, that's the only way to do well.
