abt recomendation letters

hie,
plz give me an advice..i need to get my reco letters from my college..
i know its mandatory to get 1 from principle..will it do to get the rest from assistant professors..or should i get from head of departments..
let me know..

i too need to get the recommendation letters.cud u give me an idea abt how to write them & the pattern.& whatever is info is necessary that i should know!i hve absolutely no idea 😳

you can get the letters from head of departments or professors.most of the schools will specify who they need it from.Principal or Dean is a must .others as they need.
when I got it i didn't give any format to my professors or dean.but you can ask them to highlight your strong points and write a little abt your communication skills etc.I think there is a sticky thread for" Reco letters".go through that .
I remember reading on SDN that it will be a good idea to go through the letter once before sealing ,if you are getting it from someone who is not well versed in english.I didn't have that problem .but if there is ,then you can try to get a format.mine was in general terms not sticking to a format.
