I was curious to hear from folks who went into academics following residency something about their experience with the job search, etc.
I'm just interested in hearing if there was anything people who have gone through the process before would have done differently during residency to increase their desirability, or if there's something they learned through the interview process (or by being on the other side of the fence now) that might be relevant to residents looking into academic EM.
I've got sort of a shortish list of places I made just from the intersection between informatics and EM residencies; my list might expand for reasons I can't anticipate at this moment, but I also might be generally focused on a handful of these places...which ends up being sort of a list of rather desirable locations, intimidatingly enough.
