Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could provide some facts about academic neursurgery, life lifestyle, salary and, aside from writing papers, what else the "academic" portion entails.

Thanks

Lifestyle and salary vary considerably. Neurosurgery is usually thought of as one of the most demanding specialties in medicine. Salary is usually comensurate with this demand. The academic part of any specialty usually involves teaching residents and medcal students.
