Hey sdn members,
I've been recently placed on academic probation by my school for behavioral problems at my school. I know it's pretty bad and was wondering how that would impact my chances for residency?

I've had issues with a couple of residents on my obgyn rotation and they reported me to the administration. I didn't get along with them and rubbed them the wrong way. It comes down to interpersonal problems and I'm currently receiving therapy for it

Everyone knows OB residents are the worst so nobody will care.

Seriously though, no history of probation will ever be a non-issue. What happens from here on out will make a big difference. If it's not a pattern of behavior and you have people vouching for your character otherwise, you'll likely be okay with a smart application strategy.

You should be able to survive this. But keep in mind that a lot of eyeballs will be on you for the rest of your clinical years.
