In the University of Maryland secondary, they give a section to explain "academic problems" which could be anything from poor grades, withdrawls, incompletes etc. or state you do not feel you have any academic problems.

I don't think I have any problems, but certainly, there are some grades that I wish weren't on my transcript.

I had two C+'s in the fall quarter of my junior year, but the rest my grades are pretty solid. It was just one bad quarter in which i had some issues adjusting to a family problem.
But i still dont know if I should address this or state I don't have academic problems.

Any insight is greatly appreciated - much thanks.

If your GPA is solid I personally would not draw attention to the 2 C+ grades. I would be worried that describing this as an academic problem will make you seem like a perfectionist

If the C's are in your pre-req science classes, then it may be worth your time to explain them. After all, med schools want to know that you can handle a heavy science curriculum. If there's a legitimate reason that your grades dropped during that fall semester, then why not explain it?

I don't think you'd be drawing special attention to it..the grades already call attention to themselves if they are in upper level science classes.

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it they are in humanities or other non-science classes.

I was leaning on towards not mentioning it, because i'm on the line of thinking of not making it a bigger deal than it should be -- given that I have done well before and after. It was a little blip and not a year long thing. But any input on my line of thinking will be appreciated!

Quit fussing and leave it blank. Several F's are a problem, not a few Cs.
Chill.
