A paper just came out this month in PRS entitled "Influence of Training Institution on Academic Affiliation and Productivity among Plastic Surgery Faculty in the United States". Could this represent a ranking for academic plastics programs (at least via the metric of number of graduates in academic plastic surgery)?

    Programs (including only US):
    1. Harvard
    2. NYU
    3. Pittsburgh
    4. Johns Hopkins
    5. Michigan
    6. UCLA
    7. UPenn
    8. USC
    9. UCSF

They even have data for medical schools most commonly represented among academic plastic surgery faculty (including only US):
    1. Harvard
    2. Columbia
    3. Michigan
    4. Jefferson
    4. Northwestern
    6. NYU
    7. Albany
    7. Rochester
    9. Johns Hopkins
    9. UT Houston
    9. Yale
    12. UPenn
    12. WUSTL
    14. Emory
    14. Georgetown
    14. Louisiana State
    14. Ohio State
    14. Tufts
    14. U of Illinois

    Tables are attached. Discuss!

I'd guess because NYU is technically still "combined" until next year / this cycle. That list looks like it wouldn't classify NYU as integrated and therefore wasn't included in their list.
