neuroscience hospitals in the country, St. Josephs Hospital and
Medical Center and the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix,
Arizona is now recruiting psychiatrists for a number of positions
including consultation-liaison, adult inpatient, neuropsychiatry and
outpatient opportunities as we expand our program in preparation
for becoming a regional campus of the Creighton University School
of Medicine.
Position responsibilities will include supervision of medical students
on psychiatry clerkships and residents from neurology and other
specialties. Academic opportunities abound across the full
spectrum of psychiatry including collaborative research with a large
group of neurosurgeons, neurologists, and neuropsychologists,
along with the neurologic imaging capabilities at the hospital.
Academic faculty appointments are also available at the Creighton
University School of Medicine.
Phoenix is an ideal place to raise a family with excellent primary
and secondary schools and well respected state universities. Living
in Arizona opens the door to a variety of recreational activities with
dozens of golf courses in the metro area and across the state,
hundreds of hiking trails, nearby lakes for fishing and boating, and
cool air mountain retreats just a couple of hours away. All four
major professional sports are represented in Phoenix, and the area
serves as the spring training home to half of all the major league
baseball teams. These opportunities offer a perfect balance of an

or certified in psychiatry; be eligible for an Arizona license;
