I recently completed two retakes from a community college(I only took two classes, both pre reqs for med school, at this community college because they were offered online). I switched the two F's to A's. Unfortunately one of the requirements to remain on good academic standing at this college is to have successfully completed 2/3rds of all credits attempted, and I have only successfully completed 50%. I have filled out the AACOMAS application with the information regarding my Academic Suspension.

My question is will this hurt me with my application? I do not want to take any more classes at this particular college because I do not need any more undergraduate courses to apply and I also do not wish to spend more money than I have to.

My stats are 3.3/3.3/33 and I am a non trad.

Thanks for your help!

You're fine with that MCAT. GL.

Just explain truthfully in PS, secondaries and at interviews, and you'll be OK

Why didn't you complete the units required? You must address it well.

I didn't complete the credits the first time through because I was hired to a new job and wasn't able to devote any time to the classes(flying out for training, meetings, etc.). I thought I had withdrawn from them, but found out I did not complete that process. I didn't take any more credits because I didn't want to spend any more money on undergrad classes that I did not need.

Implies you are irresponsible and lack observatory skills. Maybe you could find better words to say the same thing.

Irresponsible because I accepted a new job and tried a new career path.....

I understand the criticism, and thanks for your opinion on it. I will rework my explanation for any interviews I might be offered!

I had some drops on my transcript and I wasn't asked about them. Definitely have an answer though if asked and transition it into something positive.

Did you or did you not get put on academic suspension and are now wondering whether or not this will hurt your chances....?

You're not irresponsible for accepting a new job and trying a new career path. It could be argued that you're irresponsible because you allowed this to happen. Although, I'm not making that argument...

I'm not here to attack you but to point out possible problems. I understand getting a job is something responsible. However, doing something responsible like getting a job doesn't preclude you from doing something irresponsible which was not to make sure you actually withdrew. Personally, I think you'd get much further by acknowledging your mistake than to take the defensive.
