Academic Update 2016-2017 cycle

So what's the deal with academic update? Is it required? I did not have any in progress/planned courses on my application when I submitted, so am I required to post them?

What are you supposed to update them with if you have nothing to update?

You can still update courses you are currently taking/courses planned for the spring. I am just wondering if it is required or optional? I honestly just don't feel like taking the time to do it if it isn't necessary.

I have taken courses this fall and graduate in december. I did not put the courses that I am currently taking in when I submitted my application. I am wondering if I have to or is it optional to do the Academic Update.

I am pretty sure you have to present the school you choose to attend with your most recent transcript, so they will see it.
