what is "it"? are you talking about getting an acceptance or an interview? In either case, adcoms are not naive...They may want to see that update before making a further decision on your status. Good Luck

I would update. How drastically did it alter your gpa? It is a risk you have to take because for all you know, they may be waiting for your update as I stated earlier. best of luck to you 👍

most schools require that you maintain your grades/ GPA so even if you did get that acceptance they could revoke it based on your grades once you decide to submit them.
