Hi,

Since I'm applying to multiple schools all with varying requirements (a few will not accept my statistics course which I took online and I need interpersonal communication for USC), do I fill out the academic update conservatively and say I plan on re-taking stat spring 2008, and Interpersonal comm. Summer 2008, but depending on whether I need it or not, I might not end up taking either of those classes. How strict do the schools hold you to what you put on the academic update? What about for schools that I've already fulfilled all the prerequisites for, will they care if I go through with those extra classes or not?

Please advise!

The schools won't care if you have extra courses that they don't require. I would be conservative and just put that you plan to take those courses. Now, if you are accepted under the specific conditions that you get a C or better in those courses and you didn't take them, you may have a problem. The best bet would be to call the schools and ask.
