So this year, they changed things & made the update earlier, as well as added a second update period (that's why she might've been confused..idk).
Summer grades: Update from August 15th to September 30th. Change the summer term from "in progress" to "complete", and add the grades that you received. Download the transcript request form/matching form again (if you don't have it from before, get it from Academic History -> Colleges Attended), and then have your school mail a new official transcript in with your summer grades on it (with the matching form of course).
-------> After doing all these, your transcript will be received by ADEA, and added to your application, which will undergo verification once more. Your GPAs will be updated once verification is complete, and automatically sent out to schools.
Fall grades: Update from December 1st to February 1st (2019). Same steps as above, change the fall term from "in progress" to "complete", add grades, send transcript + form. Wait for verification, and your new updated app will automatically be sent to schools.
You don't need to contact the schools directly- the system will do it for you.
