Average 5 years out:
Academics $200,000 (upwards of $500,000 at some places)
Private Practice $405,000 (if interventional in the south up to $1mil+)

But does the $200,000 after 5 years in academics seem high??P Diddy said:the numbers are not too high. my father had a partner join him in his private cards practice who made 500k in this, his first year out of fellowship in the midwest.

About $45-$60K, depending on the institution. Basically, a bit more than what residents of that same institution earn.
