Hi,

are there any accelerated programs for Medicine in the UK for students who already have an undergraduate degree? i know most programs in the UK are 5-6 year and students go in straight from High school.

I'm an undergrad student in the US currently and looking at my options in the UK and rest of the world

thanks

They're called graduate entry programs. Google is your friend.

....the school's websites are also your friends your question is usually anwered in the first 10 lines or so of the intro.

Outside the UK (namely in Ireland) RCSI, Limmerick, and UCD have graduate entry programmes.

i'm on a grad entry course, there are more and more places on these in the UK. i'd recommend looking at warwick, birmingham and the London schools. i don't think they are harder to get into than the usual route.

there are several americans on my course, it doesn't seem to be a problem. However if you want to practice mainly america don't come here for medical school, it really messes you up. also the rules are changing at the moment as to whether non EU people who do medical school here will actually be allowed visas to continue their training here. it's all quite up in the air.
