So I know we already have the thread with all of the interviews that people have been invited to, but I thought maybe we could start one simply for updating each other on the things we've received (example: accepted at ::insert school name:: on ::insert date:🙂. i would like a thread about rejections letters because thats the one thing i haven't see yet. i know many schools havent sent out rejections... but for the ones that have it would be nice to know they have started. i posted my one rejection in the MO thread, im sure many people thought more interviews were sent out when they saw it updated lol my heart skips a beat whenever i see a schools thread update

That's how I am now! I've turned into a complete mess!! It takes me so long to fall asleep at night because I can't stop myself from rehearsing interview questions and playing out scenarios in my head. Sometimes I think about what i'm going to do if I get accepted and others it's only focused on what i'm going to do if I don't get in. I'm not sure how i'm going to make it until March when I find out if I got an interview/acceptance from my IS school

Thats interesting. Im a little confused. Why would they waitlist people before an interview? also, i thought people said there were 200 ppl sent interviews so wouldnt they use the left over people from the interviews for the waitlist?

I don't know. While they said I was not going to be in the interview process, they said if they interview and they don't like what they see they will admit me without an interview, but I'm assuming that has about a -4% chance of happening, so I'm not holding my breath.

I wouldn't totally disregard it. A vet I work with got into MO without an interview. Not sure if she was initially waitlisted or what the deal was, but regardless it has happened. (And she claims she didn't have a very good GPA and she was also OOS). This is also where she ended up going.

Hey now, we're all in the middle of nowhere in the midwest with the exception of the cities. Columbia (where Mizzou is) is over 5 times larger than my hometown! Anything over 50,000 is big to me. Cows and horses are everywhere but I can safely say I don't know anything about them. First time I had ever been near enough to touch a cow was last year when I shadowed a LA doc. And it was not enjoyable for me at all!

I got rejected from CO combined program (assume the regular program rejection is in the mail so to speak as well) and now I have a deep hatred for CO and downhill skiing...stupid overly-priced past time.

Columbia was one of the biggest cities that I applied to. I really like that area and would have loved to have gone to Missouri 🙁 Good luck to those of you who are interviewing there!!! And lalzi, congrats on being waitlisted!

Dont get me wrong. I like cows and horses. But that was seriously all that kid talked about. I had to spend ten days with this individual and in the whole ten days that was all he really talked about. No music, no hobbies no nothing. He was already accepted to Mizzou too. He was one of those guaranteed admission people. Nice guy just odd. =D I met a ton of interesting people when I went to St. George's summer academy thing.

I think a problem with having it all in one place is that it is going to move really really quickly and a lot of people are gonna be left out as others copy/paste and such. It already happens quite a bit in the interview & acceptance threads, so it seems like having all of it in one would be quite a nasty mess!

If you want to be able to access all of the info quick maybe a sticky that links to separate rejection/interview/accept/waitlist posts would be good?
