Hey guys, I asked a professor for a physical copy of a LOR in a sealed envelope just in case I might need to send it into some schools manually. Is this overkill?

To avoid all this dilemma, and still have the letter in your "possession", I would tell the professor to send the letter to Interfolio. Interfolio will send physical copiesTo conclude this story- I told my prof to ditch the physical and just do interfolio. I don't want it to look shady and if there is any reason for me to send one in physically, i'll just have him send it.
