Hi all, been scrolling on here for a while now and I’m finally about to begin the application process this July! Just curious of my chances at getting in somewhere based on my stats, my GPA is average so I just wanted opinions on how I’d stack up for some more competitive programs to help narrow down where I should apply.

undergrad: University of Florida
GPA: 3.66
pre req GPA: 3.5-3.6ish
GRE: 157 v, 164 q, 5.5 AW

Obs hours: ~250 (mixture of outpatient ortho, neuro, pediatric, and inpatient)

Rec letters: 1 prof, 2 PTs, 1 employer

Extra curriculars: deans list, honors college, sorority member and held position, gators march for babies, lots of hospital volunteering, swim lesson instructor, held a few jobs, CPR certified

Planning on applying to: UF, UMiami, UNF, Nova southeastern, Emory, duke, GW, MUSC, u of Colorado, Regis, Drexel, Pitt, NYU, Mercer

Thank you 🙂

I am not familiar with the requirements of the schools you listed, but I do not think you need to do much more (other than submit everything on time or ASAP if it is "first come-first serve" schools, etc). Your stats look great. You should get in.

Hi!
My application shares quite a bit with yours (minus the AW score, wowzers!)... GRE, GPAs, obs hours, great experience, reputable school (I’m a Clemson Tiger), CPR and letters of recommendation. I’m also applying to the 4 FL schools you named! From this angle, it looks like you have a great shot. I’ve looked into those 4 programs thoroughly, and I think you meet or exceed what ~seems~ required.
Many of my coworkers are current students and recent DPT grads of FL programs- they would tell you something similar.
I share this to potentially make your next few months less worrisome! Nobody is guaranteed, but you’ve put in the work to be an attractive applicant!
Best of luck,
Go Tiger-Gators
