I'm new to this so I have absolutely no idea but i'd like to throw out a scenario. I applied to 9 schools, currently have 4 interviews, and plan on interviewing at each one if it is possible. What happens in December if you are accepted by a school (or multiple schools) and have to wait until say January to interview at your number one school? Do the schools have timelines on how long they give you to accept the schools or are you allowed to accept the invitation to one of the schools, then change your mind if you are accepted to a school you would rather go to? Anyone with knowledge on this would be awesome. I know i'm getting ahead of myself but now that I'm scheduling interviews I feel like this is something I need to know.

When you are accepted (beginning Dec 1st), you have a certain amount of days to put down a deposit in order to hold your spot in the class. If you are accepted early, you usually have 30+ days to decide, then as the cycle gets later and later then you have less time to put down a deposit. You can attend as many interviews and hold as many acceptances as you want until April when AADSAS reports who is holding multiple spots and you are essentially forced to narrow it down. Some deposits are refundable while some are not and some are in the few thousand dollar range (but usually much lower). As long as you meet the deposit deadlines, your seat is saved until you withdraw your application/seat if you choose to go elsewhere.
