I have an upcoming interview for RCSI in Chicago. If accepted, does anyone know what the procedure is for holding a spot in the class? How much is the deposit, and when is it due? I'm intrigued by the school, but the price tag is hard to justify. I don't know if I could come up with a deposit on short notice if it is as exorbitant as the tuition costs are.

Did you apply to the 4yr or 5yr program? I'm sorry I don't have any answers to your questions. I'm just trying to figure out if they are interviewing only those for the 4yr program or anybody in Chicago at the end of the month. Also if you don't mind me asking, what were your stats?
Congrats!

I am interviewing at the end of the month in Chiacago too. I will have graduated college by the time RCSI starts in the Fall, so I am most likely interviewing for the four year graduate program. However, I don't know if this necesarily rules out the possibility of people interviewing for the other programs on the date either.

3 years ago when I received my acceptance, the deposit was in the neighborhood of $2000 and it was due about 1 month after the acceptance was received. I don't know how much it is now. The deposit is non-refundable and a big chunk of cash to lose if you end up not attending!

I am also interviewing in Chicago. Regarding the price tag, remember that if you do the 4-year program, that can save you a lot of money. I did the math and compared 4 years at RCSI to 5 elsewhere in Dublin, including an extra year of living expenses and a year of lost income, and the two options came out essentially the same in terms of debt.

I spoke with ABP, and they told me that first they will interview 6yr students and then they will interview 4 yr students.

best of luck.

I interviewd for RCSI on march 4th and there were cadidates for the 6 year as well as the 4 year GEP. I interviewed for the GEP and got accepted a week later.

Congratulations spshooter! I guess you're now spared the incredibly agonizing wait. Are you going to accept? Also, you posted your stats in the acceptance thread, but could you explain the 3.4/4.0 and 3.8/4.0? Did you do two undergrads?
