If you have two acceptances, and after visiting both schools, thought that one was in nearly every respect better than the other, is there any reason to hold on to the acceptance of the school you liked much less? In short is it worth the $100 if you would much rather go to the other school?

i would withdraw. not only to save $, but why hold onto another applicant's potential spot if you are really not into the school? what benefit do you get by holding onto one more acceptance when you already got accepted into your top choice? after all, you only attend one medical school to become an m.d. 🙂

p.s. this is what i did after being accepted into my 1st choice school. i've pretty much withdrawn/cancelled interviews at all but 2 of my pending schools.

No, decline the acceptance if there is truly one that you would much rather go. I will only be holding to few acceptances and I am withdrawing from schools that I do not meet specific things compared to the top two/three...

Yeah, I figured that'd be the case. I just wasn't sure if there might be some unforeseen reason for it to make sense (maybe financial, but not in this instance). Anywho, thanks.

Your deposit is refundable until may 15th. that should make it easy to sit on for a while.

If financial aid isn't an issue, I would withdraw. If it is, wait until the aid packages come out and then re-evaluate how each school stands on your list. Congrats on 2 acceptances, BTW!
