Hey all. I was accepted to my first choice school a few months ago, but I just realized that I made a mistake on my AMCAS and listed a research experience as lasting a year longer than it did (1.5 yrs rather than 6 months). The hours that I have listed are accurate, so it doesn't claim that I did any more work than I did. I only noticed because I was updating my linkedin using the dates on my AMCAS. Should I inform the school that accepted me? Is this grounds for them to rescind the acceptance? Freaking out a little, so any guidance would be much appreciated.

A difference in your transcripts might be cause for concern, but technicalities over how long you did research for do not matter from what I understand.

Doubt this matters, especially since your hour total was correct. If anything, that means you were working harder on that research as opposed to very slowly working over a longer time.

Wouldn't worry, if you're neurotic and scared of punishment later you can let them know though. They'll probably say thanks for letting us know, see you in the fall.
