Ok - I know this is probably somewhere on SDN, but I couldn't find it. I've just been accepted into med school and I've been asked to send an acknowledgment, in writing, of my intent. I still have a few more interviews to go on before I know exactly where I am going. Any thoughts on how I should compose this letter?

I'm sure this just means they want to know whether you intend to hold a space in their entering class...this doesn't mean that you have to commit right now. Come may 15, you'll have to commit to one and only one school, and drop those other places you might be holding. But now, you can hold as many as you want.

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For the sake of those who must endure the sufferage of the waiting list (like me last year) please withdraw your acceptance as soon as you get accepted to your top choice school.

Dear Office of Admissions,
It is my distinct pleasure to accept your offer for a position in the Class of 2009. Enclosed please find my deposit for $100.00. Official transcripts are presently being mailed directly by my university.
Looking forward to a wonderful experience! Thanks very much.
Sincerely,
Decflower
