I have been accepted into PT school and I do not have any classes next semester. My question is should I keep my current full time PT tech position and try to learn as much more about the field as I can or switch to another full time job that would enable me to save more money for living expenses while in school? I have serving experience and it shouldn't be hard to find a job doing something like that. Any advice would be appreciated!

Make as much money are you can now. Your position as a PT tech helped you get accepted. Now you need to save some money, if you can find another job that pays more.

I agree with NewTestament- it's best to find a job that will enable you to save as much as possible. My FT job prior to starting PT school enabled me to save a good chunk of money that has been helpful throughout my education so I didn't have to take out grad plus loans.

Your PT tech job might help you on a few things here and there but not as much as the extra money would lol I am on the same boat as you and I chose serving tables to try to hustle as much loose change as I can before I start school in May

Agree. I don't think a PT Aide's wages will make a difference in saving many people from taking out grad plus loans. Though, I'd still save to make monthly interest payments. You'd be surprised how much that will help after graduation.

I'm with everyone else. Make as much money as you can before school starts.

Thanks for the input everyone. Getting a new job is what I'll be doing.

Good luck! I also made some interest payments on my loans, but wasn't able to keep up with it, so I didn't get much taken off my totals. Oh well...
