I just got an acceptance to a D.O. in SC!!! I still have 2 more interviews on the calendar and a few more that I havent heard about yet. I am wondering what everyone thinks about calling the other schools to see if they are planning on offering an interview and if so to do it soon! My deadline is in December to save the seat in SC.

Thoughts?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm interpreting this as you calling schools (that you have not heard back from) and saying "Hey adcom, are you going to offer me an interview? If so, can you, like, do it sooner rather than later?" That doesn't sound like the most professional approach to take. Eat the deposit to hold your seat, and be patient with the other schools

I wouldn't do that, it would come off as entitled

If the other schools are ranked higher on your list, just hang tight. If you get an II great, calling just makes you sound unprofessional.

If you do this, you will actually help yourself make your choice and make it sooner since you will be left with only one option.

Good way to kill your chances, as you will come across as a desperate, entitled candidate.

There's nothing wrong with inquiring about the status of your application. As long as you don't phrase your question along the lines of "so are you going to offer me and interview, or what?". I would def pay the deposit on your accepted school though.
