I heard that some people got their acceptances revoked for just asking that, is this true?
Also does anyone know how keen osteopathic medical schools are on this? Is it school dependent? is there a general consensus? how likely is it?

Again, please cite the sources.

The new DO schools (all schools actually) need to fill their classes. If you aren't ready, your seat should go to someone else. Deferrals should go to those sincerely attending the school but have to pause for extraordinary circumstances, not as a nod to customer service.

I wouldn't be surprised but there may also be a no deferral policy.

Never heard of anyone rescinded an A just for asking about a deferral.

You can always ask. The schools can always deny your request.

We don't want to waste a seat on someone who is going to bail on us to reapply to another medical school
