I have been accepted to Campus A of a school with two campuses.

I am on the wait-list at Campus B. My desire to go to Campus B is extremely strong. Campus B is my first choice out of all the DO schools in the country actually.

Do you think that I can speak to the admissions staff at Campus B, and tell them I have already been accepted by their campus A, but my desire to go to campus B is ten times stronger than it is for Campus A? Do you think this could help me got off the wait-list at Campus B?

They know that I will be their student one way or another. So, I am sure they would rather have a happy student at Campus B rather than a slightly dissatisfied student at Campus A. But, I don't know if they'll really care much as I believe two campuses of one school like this are separate entities in almost every way.

Only way to find out is to call. The worst they can do is say no. Its not like they can take away your current acceptance or anything. Im sure it could work. Im assuming you are referring to the LECOMs?

Good luck. Let us know if its works, Im curious

you need to be more specific sweetie, why so secretive?

I'm guessing its one of the Touros or Midwesterns...

Forgive my ignorance....but is it common for there to be acceptances out this early in the application process?

Or am I totally missing something and this is just a hypothetical situation?

I'm assuming they mean for the Class of 2015

Yep ^, I'm talking about the Class of 2015.

And I guess you are right FuturePharm21 and Journey2Become, I supposed it wouldn't hurt to not be so secretive...So... I'm talking about the LECOMs. The campus that I am dying to attend is the Bradenton campus.

Hum, I could see how contacting them and letting them know that they are your first choice could only help you. (this was not my opinion initially - but I vaguely remember the admissions saying something about begin accepted to both campuses...and that they didn't want you to have to waste your deposit so they tried to contact you to see which one you wanted, idk).

I switched from Seton Hill to the Erie campus in 2009 when I started. The switch from erie to its satellite another isnt a huge deal... but Bradenton ISNT a satellite campus... Im not entirely sure how LECOM decides the breakdown, but I was scheduled for PBL at all three. I think when you're accepted to one campus your app is scrapped at the other (Erie vs Brad. I mean)... Give a call, but i'm fairly sure unless you're 1-from FL, 2- have family in FL, or some other such extenuating circumstance, the school won't be keen to switch. Make a call though! can't hurt. I wish you luck! Either way (and I promise this)... you will be SO happy you chose LECOM's PBL program. GL!

I don't think that would work for the LECOM's. Bradenton and Erie are considered separate DO schools, while Seton Hill is just a satellite of Erie's, but try anyway.

Bradenton typically starts class the last week of July, so there isn't a lot of time. A call to the admissions office might let you know if you are even high enough on the waitlist to be considered. It never hurts to tell them that you really want to go there.

Well actually that would make me right, not FuturePharm who guessed Touros or Midwesterns😛 Just kidding

Did you call them yet to express your concerns and interests??
