I was just recently accepted to a medical school in OH for start in August of 2020, but I live/go to undergrad in a different state. I only need 2 more classes to graduate (both of which can be taken online). Since OH requires you to pretty much live in the state for 12 months prior and be financially independent, I was wondering if I can just move to Ohio this August, get a job there, and finish my degree online to graduate in order to start getting in state tuition first year. This will literally save me almost $45K once interest rates are factored in.

Edit: I also plan on registering my car, voter registration, and Drivers license in Ohio.

It's worth a shot. I would also contact your school's financial aid office directly for advice.

@EmbryonalCarcinoma

I definitely plan to contact them

Do you know if FA offices are usually willing to work with you to lower your tuition/costs? Or are they hired by the state and their purpose is to get as much profit for the state as possible?
