$15 million lawsuit (mostly paid for by Linac manufacturer) after lung cancer patient receives x2.5 more dose than prescribed.

Story here.

Sure some compensation but 15 million for pain and suffering for somoene who had lung cancer and a median survival of what? At some point, mistakes/glitches happen and victims should be compensated but that level of compensation is a bit ridiculous in my opinion.

The amount does seem excessive, I was opining more on the merit of the lawsuit
