I took the MCAT yesterday and am concerned that i possibly voided my test. By the end of the test i was exhausted and briefly remember clicking through the void screen.

Does it ask "Do you want to void this test." I remember clicking the button on the right. Is this the correct button to not void? It is pretty sad i don't remember, but the thought that i voided is killing me. Especially since I think I did well.

If I did accidentally void is there anything I can do about it?
Has this happened to anyone else?

I feel foolish....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW - I do remember it saying that it would take a minute to submit. Does it only submit the test if you didn't void?

If you accidentally voided, there is nothing you can do about it. However, if you chose to void your exam, there's an additional confirmation page that asks if you're sure that you'd like to void your exam. So if you didn't get that, you should be in the clear. :luck:

Hey,

I dont think you accidentally voided your score. I actually had the same screen come up after the void screen. I called AAMC and they told me my exam had been scored. Im pretty sure everyone recieves that screen, but just call to put your mind at ease 🙂

I JUST took my MCAT today (Friday the 13th, joy) and i have a strangely odd feeling that somehow in my delirious last few minutes I ended up accidentally voiding my MCAT. :scared:I clicked the top choice (or at least i think i did...) which on the emcat is the scoring option. I was wondering if you do choose to void is the next scene a bunch of text that like if you're delirious you wouldn't miss it? does anyone know? After choosing the scoring option, I got a blank screen that i had to hit next through before it would let me out of the test and into the survey. I can't call AAMC until Monday and I don't even know that they will be able to confirm that my test was scored that soon after i had taken my test. thanks everyone!

When I chose to score the exam, I had a screen telling me about cancellation of scores if anything was found to be "fishy" (obviously, not the exact words) with the exam.

Try not to worry, and give AAMC a call on Monday.

I got the same thing with voiding it. Does this mean I didn't void it?

I got the same thing too when I voided. I later had a nightmare though that I accidentally didn't void. I emailed the AAMC, and they said that they wont know who voided until next week, at which point they can double check for you.

Way to go AAMC to freak out pre-meds even more. And to maybe get more money by forcing students to retake the exam.

I think the shift from paper to computer-based is the worst idea ever.

I guess it is just a standard page. Did you have a second confirmation page acknowledging your void (as mentioned above)?

No, and I made 100% sure to void it. I even went back, unchecked it and checked it again to make sure. I do not think I have ever been more careful of anything. That said I am still afraid there was a glitch or something.

Well, I'm sure it will be fine.

I chose the first option to score, and it gave me that page. I, too, went back and double-checked that I had selected the correct option.

So, if you selected the second option to void, then I'm sure you did.

I've heard there is an addition confirmation page if you void. But others on here say that there isnt?

Can anyone who has voided a test tell me if there is a confirmation of this? Thanks

Ha well I was e-scolded at a few weeks ago for starting a new thread about something else....lesson learned. 😀

Hopefully someone can answer my question...took the test on the 29th and felt great about it but I can barely remember what I did at the end. I find it hard to believe I voided but I can't be 100% positive I scored! I think subconsciously I knew what I did and scored it but its making me a bit nervous.

Hence the question if there is some sort of confirmation that you want to void.

I do remember that after the to void/not to void screen, the next screen was a box of text that you had to agree to...I didn't read it but I believe it was about not discussing the test? Then I took a survey.

Man, this apparently seems to happen quite frequently. I would say it would be impossible to go through the voiding process unknowingly....butttt I remember several times where I could have sworn that I forgot to write my name on tests papers and I flip the frick out lol.

Well I think it became such a habit for me throughout the practice tests to just press the top button (score it) and so that's what I did. Pretty careless but that fact that I don't really remember it bothers me. I'll just call AAMC tomorrow and find out..

thanks for the reply
