I'm still planning my interview trip and I'm having trouble finding an affordable place to stay on the night of November 8th when I arrive to Philadelphia. My interview with PCO is on the 9th, and I have no car.

Does anyone know of a cheap place with good-enough access to public transit?

I would try to find somewhere as close to Willow Grove as possible...I know you are flying into PHL but the city itself is realistically (with traffic lights and traffic) about 45 minutes from Salus. Willow Grove is a suburb, the college is not really in Philadelphia.

I was at PCO last week and left there around 1 to go to the city and ended up getting there around 2. Then another 15 minutes to the airport itself from downtown Philly.

There might not be any CHEAP places...but...I would strongly advise against public transportation (SEPTA) to Salus from Philadelphia.

Ok, so if I were to avoid taking SEPTA to Salus, what should I be taking?? ..I'd be arriving at 30th street station from AMTRAK at night.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with SEPTA here. It is an awesome public transportation system. The train from the airport is awesome, their buses are fast. Whoever said that is crazy! When I interviewed, I rented a car from the airport for <$50 and stayed at the hampton inn in Willow Grove.

I never said there was anything wrong with SEPTA- I just warned against staying in Philadelphia so the morning commute to Salus wouldn't result in anxiousness and being late! Take transportation (bus or the airport train) to Willow Grove the night before and you will be fine. 👍
