For this question there seems to be no right answer.
Which line distinguishes a liquid from a gas?
A. D-A
B. B-A
C. B-A-D
D. B-A-C
E. A-C
they show phase diagram with tripple point being A and criticle point as C. they say answer is (C) which follows line from sublimation and deposition line up to freezing/melting line.
If a 22 g chunk of dry ice (CO2) is placed in an empty 1 liter bottle and tightly corked, what would be the final pressure in the bottle after all the dry ice has evaporated and the temperature has reached 27oC?
A. 13.3
B. 14.4
C. 15.5
D. 12.4
E. 18.9
I got (D) for this one, but they say it is (A).
Which bond would be least polar?
A. H-F
B. B-F
C. Cl-F
D. Ca-F
E. Al-F
For this i put (C) but they think it is (D).
Some O chem questions but i cant paste pictures so i will try to explain.
One question had a primary alcohol and you react with it KMnO4. This should result in a carboxylic acid on the carbon that had the -OH group but some how their answer says you lose a carbon and form a shortened carboxylic acid.
One question had 5 carboxylic acids of the same length and structure except for the placement of a Cl. They were asking for the most acidic. The most acidic should be the carboxylic acid that has the Cl group closest to the carbonyl and -OH groups. But they go for the middle carbon.
There are some more but hard to explain so I will leave those out. I would not recommend Ace the DAT to anyone. I havent seen this many mistakes in a test before. 😡 😡 DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID!!! 😡 😡
