Whats up everyone. Just had a few questions about AcetheDAT.
Ive taken the DAT before and dont recall having seen hole punches on side/ edges of the folded paper.
Ive taken several other pratice tests (barron, kaplan, topscore) and havent seen the side/edge/half hole punch there either. Is this something exclusive to Ace, or have yall seen it on the real DAT?

Also, why does everyone bash the science tests? Just because of the wrong answers, or perhaps If i dont look at the answers and just use it to brush up on review, that it would be helpful?

thanks for helping

I don't remember where, but I've seen these on the practice tests, maybe Kaplan's subject tests. I thought that was the most confusing part of hole punching, too. I did not see any on mine, but they threw in some odd folding. So, stay calm🙂 Good luck.

Why bash the sciences? Well here's my story:
I took acethedat tests for ochem and gen chem, then I printscreened some questions that I got wrong and made appointments with my 2 professors: gen chem and ochem. When I showed them the questions, particularly w/ ochem, my professor's response was "wow, this question is really bad!" and he kept saying that over and over. Now, just to give you some perspective, I also took some printscreened shots of the topscore ochem test and he didn't say anything bad. When we were done reviewing all the topscore ?s that I had gotten wrong, then we moved on the acethedat and he was like: "wait, where did you get these questions from?" "these questions are different than the stuff we just covered.." Then I explained that these print shots came from another test (acethedat), and he proceeded to tell me not to even look at those questions. My gen chem's reaction wasn't as bad, but I still saw her face was puzzled by some of the questions by acethedat.
That was my experience. BUT, in all fairness I do believe that acethedat is the BEST to study math and PAT. Yeah, I agree with you that I didn't see anything different in the DAT in terms of half punch holes like in acethedat... perhaps they are stimulating you to think beyond?... who knows. Either way, good luck!!

I agree with wimmcs - I used acethedat for their PAT problems and nothing else. Some of their questions were so off the wall or poorly worded that I didn't bother with them. As far as sciences are concerned, Topscore is much more in line with what the real DAT is about.
