ACGME accreditation question

Can a DO program with ACGME pre-accreditation take an MD applicant conditionally until they get their initial ACGME accreditation status? So the MD applicant doesn't have to start off-cycle/next year.

Or is it just not possible for an MD to start working at a DO program prior to their initial accreditation.
