I was wondering if I could/should put in my achievement section that my I wrote a proposal and had my research funded? Or should I leave this in the experiences section because it isn't really an achievement?

if you received an fund, you should list it under achievement. It's also useful to list it under activity, you can describe it as "my research project is xxx, funded by (funding agency)"
