For some reason, the answer doesn't make sense --

Antibodies are secreted by

A.memory B cells.

B.plasma cells.

C.memory T cells.

D.cytotoxic T cells.

E.helper T cells.



They say the answer is B, plasma B cells. But aren't antibodies also
secreted from memory B cells? (...whenever antigens are introduced
a second time?) Isn't that the point of vaccines?
-Hope someone can explain why A can't be the right answer.

I think the problem with answer A is that it says memory B cells rather than effector B cells. Memory B cells turn into the plasma cells (the answer) or into effector B cells. I am not 100% sure of my answer.

memory B cell can survice for long time but they have to convert to plasma cell in order to product antibody. so the answer make sense.
 
Ok thanks guys, i think i get it.

But if anyone can explain the difference between plasma cells and effector cells that would be cool.
