It says that a sperm does not contain an X chromosome??? How is a female ever born if the sperm contains no X??

It's a mistake in their explanation. I bet the question is simply trying to tell that a sperm cell does not contain both X and Y chromosomes because it's a haploid cell. It would have been correct if the statement says sperm cell contains X or Y chromosome. 🙂
