I took achiever PAT test 1 and the keyholes were insane. Harder than crack the PAT (which people say is already on the difficult side). Anyone feel the same?

Yeah, Achiever's PAT is pretty crazy. Highest I scored on it was a 20 on the third test.

I haven't done Crack the PAT yet, but from what I hear it's good preparation for the test.

i agree. achiever pat is pretty crazy. but if u go over the mistakes you did and exactly what part of the object u are getting wrong, you can avoid all the traps. my pat on the 1st achiever was a 17 (mostly keyholes). then after spending a good hour or two on what i got wrong i took the second exam about a week later. my scored jumped up to a 21 with maybe 1/2 of the keyholes wrong. i didn't take the 3rd achiever pat. but on the real thing i got a 24. i can def thank achiever for that. btw, the real exams pat isnt as hard as the achiever's either. you will get some really easy questions for the pat.

so hard it made me cry -- still do them for practice but the real test was more like top score.

hang tough babe!

OMG the keyhole is like ****
some of them even with show solution i have to rotate the figure for mad long and really study it to understand why it was that.
So far my score in it has been a constant 17, just hope on the actual one I can get maybe a 19 or 20

Cheer up, everyone!
This was repeated again and again but you can do much better on actual DAT when you are done with hard ones like achiever.

Unshade the figure before you begin to rotate it. That will help mapping to the view you want.

for the keyhole question for some reason i alway fall for the base, where they have a hole just for the base you know. and all of the time it is alway wrong, i guess it was too simple for achiever.

That's one of the DAT's favorites, where students tend to choose answer that appears similar to the supposed view. But you need to make sure the aperture is going to be the one that's snug-fitting to the object, i.e. a 1:1 dimension.

I got straight 17 's on my Achiever tests. I took the DAT today and I scored a 22 on PAT
